The flesh is firm and the skin is greenish yellow with pink overtones. The tree is reportedly resistant to scab
(Ventura inæqualis).

|
This is the only apricot tree native to Europe. It comes from the Haute Alpes of southern France. The flesh is too sour
to be consumed fresh, but it can ben made into preserves. The seed is edible and it imparts a delicious almond
flavor to baked goods. In France, the seed oil is used as a substitute to olive oil. An extremely productive and
late blooming tree that produces fruit without any pests in the Pacific Northwest.
