Sheep's fescue is a perennial fine textured grass that is well adapted to dry areas. After long
periods of summer drought, it greens up with the first autumn rains. Clumps of fine leaves provides large
amounts
of biomass that greatly improve the quality of the top soil. It spreads also through rhyzomes. Ideal as a ground cover
for orchards or vineyards.
